"Street sports & media diversity"



“Street sports & media diversity” is a multilateral project, developed with the participation of 4 partners from Romania, Turkey, Latvia and Lithuania which will take place from 10.05.2012 to 30.11.2012 in Ramnicu Sarat, Romania. The target group consists of 32 young (28 participants + 4 group leaders) from the 4 communities, which in a period of seven days will implement activities in a common framework based on a double theme: street sports and social – media involvement. The  project aim is to promote sports activities on the street (in the nature), as a means of harmonious development of human mind and body, as well as social – media  objective is to develope  young people's abilities and skills in a journalistic way. The objectives set for our project are consistent with the overall objectives of the Programme "Youth in Action", as follows: promoting active citizenship of young people through participation in activities in a common framework, develops solidarity and promote tolerance among young people, especially in to strengthen social cohesion in the European Union, equality and tolerance, fosters mutual understanding between young people from different countries by taking some common behavioral patterns, and thus promoting European cooperation in youth. Mentioned objectives will be developed and fulfilled through the following activities set out in our project: workshops, teambuildings, seminars, media activities, press office, round tables, intercultural and national evenings which will have a significant impact on physical and intellectual development of youth group target.  All these activities will be met using non – formal methods which will generate in a continous way new competences, an active spirit, creating also new opportunities for a better  collaboration at European level.
